My Research Interests
Biological Consequences of Environmental Change
Study System: Cayo Santiago
My study system is a population of roughly 1700 semi-natural free ranging rhesus macaques on Cayo Santiago, Puerto Rico. My research will revolve around the site's extensive and well-preserved tissue collections.

Natural Experiment: Hurricane Maria
This will be a multi-tissue study examining the effects of a natural disaster on immune function, stress response, and biological aging
|
Methods: Transcriptional and Epigenetic Profiling
I will examine differential gene expression and DNA methylation signatures, in a hope to identify key pathways affected following the natural disaster, and perhaps underlying genetic effects
